You're here: » 10 places with gluten-free disks 10 places with gluten-free disks In our current day and age, there are countless different diets: Pesceteriano, Keto, Paleo, Vegan, etc. When our dear boss raised a gluten-free list, he was somewhat preemptive but also curious. I am someone who really enjoys "healthy" things like Thunder Tea Rice, but on the other hand, I also love anything with gluten in it. Since gluten-free food is becoming more popular, I thought it would take the challenge to find places that offer dishes that can please our tastes. Although it was not the easiest task, I have found some places you can visit if you have a gluten allergy or just a gluten-free diet. Table of Contents Kind Kones Kind Kones is a relatively new ice cream establishment at Forum The Shopping Mall and originated from Kuala Lumpur. All its ice cream is made at home and 100% vegan, without artificial taste or coloring. Although not all the flavors of ice cream are gluten free, many are! They also offer a cone of gluten-free waffle that is made with almond food, for $1. We asked for its most popular flavors, and we went with Houjicha, and Rosa Guava and Lychee sorbet in a gluten-free cone. A scoop starts at $4.90 for a single standard flavor, and $6.90 for a single Premium. Although there are no dairy in the ice cream, it was lushly creamy and soft. There's often the wrong idea that vegan ice cream is ice cream, but that wasn't the case here! As for the cone, there's a small walnut fragrance, and I'd say I prefer it more than the regular waffle cone. Kind KonesAddress: 583 Orchard Road, Forum The Shopping Mall, #B1-27, Singapore 238884Phone: 9010 8557 Website: Opening hours: 10am to 10pm every day. Facebook: Grain Traders If you are working on the CDB, or not, you should definitely check out Grain Traders. Right in the center of our financial center, this is a great place for a weekday lunch. Although they are not completely gluten free, they have a wide selection of items that are. A bowl costs $16, and is completely customizable. Just go ahead and choose a base, protein, 2 vegetables, 1 side, a sauce and topping! I was surprised by the generous portion when I received it. Unfortunately, gluten-free options are not labeled, but the staff was extremely useful to point out what they were. I didn't feel very hungry, so I went with a salad and a lying pig. Based on your recommendation, I added the cauliflower salad and smoked beans and zucchini with brocoli Pesto and roasted pumpkin for my vegetables. As for the sides, definitely get the Kimchi homemade pineapple! They don't use any fish sauce on it so it's also vegetarian-friendly! I finally took off my bowl with some pumpkin and sunflower seeds, and the Beetroot Feta Yoghurt sauce. Unbelievable price for money! Grain Traders Address: #01-01/02/03, 138 Market Street, CapitaGreen, Singapore 048946 Website: Opening hours: Monday to Friday: 8 to 8pm. Facebook: Delcie desserts Finding gluten-free desserts in Singapore was the most difficult. In Delcie's, you can find a fairly decent selection, and many of your desserts are also friendly diabetics! Everything is vegan, and allergens are labeled clearly for each cake. It is nice to see that they have special bakeries so that those with dietary restrictions and conditions can still enjoy a sweet gift. I decided to test your Mud Fudge ($9) and Banana Fudge Slice ($9). In addition to being gluten-free, the mute mud is sweetened with the Agave syrup, which makes it diabetic-friendly! I've never tried gluten-free cakes before, but the research had told me it's notoriously hard to perfect. Or you have a dense cake, rubber, or something too dry and crumbly. When I finally went to Delcie, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Their cakes are the crumbly version, but to balance this, they use a bigger relationship of cattle that I loved. I recommend you warm the cake and let the winch melt a little, before you dig! The desserts of Delcie Address: 34 Whampoa West #01-83, Singapore 330034Phone: 6282 2951 Website: Opening hours: from Tuesday to Sunday: 11 to 20:00. Facebook: Genesis Vegan RestaurantFinding Asian gluten-free food was very difficult too, as many dishes contain soy sauce or other gluten-free products. Genesis Vegan serves a limited but delicious variety of Asian and Western options that are gluten free. I tried your chicken rice ($8.90) and red ginger tea ($4.90). Instead of chicken, fresh yuba leaves are used, which is an excellent source of protein. Although it is vegan and gluten free, it was full of flavor and I was blown by how tasty rice was! He knows exactly as normal chicken rice, and the homemade chili next to him was equally starry. Ginger tea of red dates was a good way to finish the meal. Genesis Vegan RestaurantAddress: 115 Owen Rd, Singapore 218922Phone: 6438 7118 Opening Hours: Sunday to Thursday: 11 to 3pm, 5pm to 9pm. Friday: 11 to 3pm. Closed Sundays. Facebook: Afterglow by AnglowAfterglow is a crude and plant-based restaurant that works on a farm concept at table. For a food to be considered "raw", it has to be prepared at 45 degrees Celsius and below. Although it is not 100% gluten free, most of its dishes naturally do not contain any gluten due to the raw concept. In fact, Afterglow labels the dishes with gluten. They also support local farms and work with artisanal producers around the world to create their dishes. Without knowing much about the raw diet, I expected the menu to be quite limited but there was a surprising variety! There was pizza, lasagne, "nuggets", several snacks and more. Of course, all these have been modified to be "raw" so it is definitely different from what we are used to. We got the Rice Bowl of the day (16) and the Acai Bowl (15 dollars). Although the rice bowl seemed small, it was actually quite stuffed. I loved the Acai here, which uses the royal berry instead of a dust! I'd definitely come back just for the Acai. Afterglow by AnglowAddress: 24 Keong Saik Road Singapore 089131Phone: 6224 8921 Website: Opening hours: Monday to Saturday: 12pm to 10pm. Closed Sundays Facebook: Plank Pizza Plank won for the first time popularity for its iconic Artisan sweetener pizzas, but you will be happy to know that they offer a very good gluten-free bark also (available for an additional $2)! Its gluten-free bark is made with white rice flour, eggs, soy milk, canola oil, pollen, sugar, yeast, xantham rubber and sesame seeds. Although he did not have that satisfying cherry as a regular bark, he had a good hermetic. I didn't really care. You can ask, why someone would go to a pizza place, just to get something gluten free. Since not everyone can take gluten, this is a good place for them to enjoy a pizza without altering their digestion! Although I'm most likely to stick to the regular bark of bittersweet the next time I visit, this is definitely one of the best gluten-free breads. Plank Sourdough PizzaAddress: 87 Serangoon Garden Way, Singapore 555983Phone: 6241 5584Website: Monday to Thursday: 12h to 3pm, 18h to 10h. Friday to Sunday: 12pm to 10pm. Facebook: Creperie Entre-nous Entre-Nous Creperie has been around since 2008 and serve authentic French crepes, specializing in Brittany. All of its flavored crepes are made with its 100% wheat blender, while its sweet crepes are made with a wheat batte (can be changed to wheat for $1). Since all your toppings are homemade and gluten free, you just have to change to a wheat batter for your dessert crepes to make it gluten free! For the taste options, we were told that Ham and Emmental Cheese ($16.90) was a classic. If you have a sweet tooth, Geraldine's favorite ($14.90) — homemade salt butter candy, cooked apples and homemade vanilla ice cream — is a popular choice! I would have liked the apples to be more chunkier but in general, the French crepes are quite good. Creperie Trainer: 27 Seah St, #01-01, Singapore 1883Phone: 6333 4671 Website: E-mail: Opening hours: from Tuesday to Friday: 12pm to 2:30pm, 6pm to 9:30pm. Saturday: 11 to 9:30pm. Sunday 11 to 5:30 pm. Mondays closed. Facebook: Tiann Being an absolute sucker for gelato, waffles and brunch food, he was excited to give Tiann's an attempt after moving through images of his food. Granted, he was also a bit careful to judge him based on appearance alone, but he seemed pretty promising. I'd say it's probably the place I liked most in this list! Despite being 100% refined without sugar and gluten free, the food was really nice. Its specialty are the waffles, which is manufactured with a secret mixture of almonds, chia seeds, coconut, eggs and rice. We have a savor (16 dollars) and sweet waffles with gelato (19 dollars) and I thought they were both amazing! The batter used for each seems to be different. The sweet waffle had a dense texture and I remembered the Belgian waffles. The taste version was more airy and slightly wet, but not unpleasantly. I especially loved your homemade gelato and scrambled eggs (such as a simple but so hard to master)! Tiann'sAddress: 71 Seng Poh Road, #01-35, Singapore 160071 Website: Opening hours: from Tuesday to Sunday: from 8 to 4pm. Mondays closed. Many Did you know that Boys also have gluten-free options? Boys use corn tortillas for their tacos, and it's easy to customize a burrito bowl as well. Gluten-free fillers are the Asada Carne ($5.40), Carnitas ($4.80) and Vegetarian ($4.80). The prices indicated are for a taco. My favorite filler of the three was the steak, which was delicious although it was only grilled and seasoned with some salt and pepper. The flesh was pleasant and tender, with a slight tux that I appreciate. The pig was also quite decent, although it could definitely do with a little more flavor. Put it with the Green Salsa provided! BoysAddress: 182 Cecil St, #01-01 Frasers Tower, Singapore 069547Phone: 6513 0215 Opening hours: Monday to Saturday: from 11 to 9pm. Facebook: The Butcher's wife If you are looking for a slightly more pleasant place to take an appointment, this is definitely the place to go! The butcher's wife is 100% gluten free and serves delicious dishes inspired by modern European flavors. I recommend going during lunch as they have a special lunch menu ($26 for 2 courses, or $29 for 3)! Please note that the menu is in rotary form. When we visit, we decided to go to a 3-course meal that includes Salmon Tartare, Sea Bass A'la Plancha, and a Ginger & Kaffir Lime Panna Cotta. Although they are called a bistro, the quality of the served food felt closer to something that could get in a fine food restaurant! The sea bass was sealed perfectly, and the skin was wonderfully crispy. I was more intrigued by the cotta panna, which proved unlike any dessert I've ever had. It's a little strange at first, but once you take the time to appreciate the gentle shudder, it was wonderful! If you have the chance, try it. The butcher's wifeAddress: 19 Yong Siak St, Singapore 168650Phone: 6221 9307 Website: Opening hours: from Tuesday to Friday: 12 to 14:30pm, 6pm to 11pm. Saturday & Sunday: 11 am to 3pm, 6pm to 11pm. Facebook: After visiting all these places, I would say that gluten-free food tastes better than I thought it would! In fact, I would really go back to several places on this list!
